The training of descriptive panels is conducted at your facility, using either employees or non-employees recruited from the community.  Barbara Rainey Consulting provides a complete operation including screening & selection of trainees, in-depth training of the selected trainees on a variety of company product lines, performance evaluations to confirm that the panel produces consistent and reliable results and documentation of all training details.  The sensory analyst / panel moderator(s) receives training in panel operations, including leadership skills, application of descriptive data for project work and data analysis.

Training programs run ten days to six months, depending on the descriptive method and products involved.  Training for all methods of descriptive analysis are available.

The program is completely documented.  The manuals provide information on trainee selection, panel activities throughout the training program, lexicon development, reference standards and standardized testing protocol for each product line.  A section on panel maintenance is included to ensure continued success of the trained panel.
